Setting Closed Times for Holidays
Rather than having to remember to toggle ordering on and off manually around holidays, you can schedule specific closed days in advance.
Navigate to Settings > Closed Days in your Open Dining dashboard. Near the bottom of the page, you will see the Closed Days section. In the below example, we've set our restaurant to be closed from November 23rd through the 27th.
As shown, selecting a closed day will outline that day in red, indicating that the restaurant is set to be closed on that day. Clicking the same day again will remove the closed setting for that day.
Once you've chosen the day(s) you wish to set as closed, make sure to click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.
If you will be open on a holiday but for different hours (such as closing early), you might want to mark it on your site, especially if you allow advance ordering. If you do want to schedule it in advance, you can only do that one week ahead.
Navigate to Settings > General Settings on your restaurant's dashboard. Go to the Hours section and set working hours on an upcoming day of the week, like in the example below, where Tuesday is supposed to be holiday.
The same will have to be set on the Delivery Hours section:
Once you've chosen the working and delivery hours, make sure to click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.
Don't forget: after the holiday, change your hours back to your normal open hours for that day.
As usual, please contact email@example.com if you have any questions. Happy Holiday!
