Printer app and ordering offline

The Open Dining printer app went offline and online ordering for my restaurant got turned off. Why?

The Open Dining printer app contains a kind of failsafe that also shuts off online ordering for the corresponding restaurant when it goes offline. This happens because, if the printer goes offline, the restaurant may not be configured to receive any other forms of notification for online orders, in which case the restaurant would have no immediate indication that online orders are being placed. 

When the particular issue has been resolved, the Open Dining printer app will come back online, as will online ordering for the restaurant. Alternatively, if you need to have the printer app shut down for whatever reason but wish to continue receiving orders via other notification methods, you can shut down the printer app in Windows then click the green "Enable Live Orders!" button in the upper right corner of your Open Dining dashboard to turn online ordering for the restaurant back on.
