Can I override the total price of an order?
You certainly can! You can do this via the Coupons page in your Paytronix Order & Delivery dashboard.
Total price overrides especially come in handy with pizza combo offers and other meal deals.
Steps
- In your dashboard, go to Settings > Coupons
- Click the Add Coupon button in the upper right of the page
- Give your new coupon a name and a description
- Under Item Requirements / Combos, choose the Required Items (the item or items that need to be added to the cart in order to apply the coupon), Required Size (only if you wish to specify a specific item size that must be selected), and Item Quantity (the number of that specific item that must be added to the cart; typically, the value here is 1)
Note that in the image below, each required item is on its own row. In this case, it means that the customer must add all 3 to their cart in order to apply the coupon at checkout: a large 16" Sicilian pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread, and a 2-liter bottle of soda. You can add multiple items to one row, but what you're telling the system in that case is that the customer must add this to their cart OR that (in our example, if we selected the Sicilian pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread and 2-liter bottle of soda on one row, we would be telling the system that the customer needs to add either the Sicilian pizza OR the Cheesy Garlic Bread OR a 2-liter bottle of soda in order to use the coupon).
- Next, still under Item Requirements / Combos, choose the Required Options for that item (if any) and Option Quantity, and the Override Total Price (the price you wish to make this item when a customer applies the coupon)
Per the image below, I've set each item to be a lower price than they are by default.
- Configure any other settings you wish to enable on your coupon, then click Submit at the bottom to save your changes
Now, when the required items are added to the customer's cart and they apply the coupon code, they will receive a great deal of $24 (before tax) on their meal!
